Day 2 of government shutdown

There’s still no sign of compromise on Day Two of the impasse over the shutdown of the federal government. A group of about 20 moderate Democrats and Republicans met for hours yesterday trying to brainstorm ways out of this impasse, while the president kept a low profile.
