Florida Panthers hoping to reboot their successful season after NHL’s ‘pause’

SUNRISE, Fla. (CBS12) — The National Hockey League is ‘paused’ until at least December 27th. The Florida Panthers, of course, have already been shut down for a week.

The Panthers have been so exciting to watch when they are in action, but have gone through so much adversity. Their head coach Joel Quenneville resigned because of his alleged involvement in the Chicago Blackhawks sexual abuse coverup scandal. The Panthers kept on with their winning ways after that until COVID19 hit the team. That eventually lead to them being one of several NHL teams paused, before the league decided to shut the entire schedule down until December 27th.
